STH-10 Design Question

Of the omni-directional sirens I've dealt with the ports size in the stator and rotor have for the most part matched, so why isn't that the case in the STH-10 ? The port in the stator is a little over half the size of the port in the rotor. Any thoughs ? Higher pitch maybe ?

I had the same problem but for a different reason. I have sirens tied into a Gamewell municipal telegraph system. Occasionally we will get an open circuit due to a line down or box failure. As long as the circuit stays open the timers restart resulting in continuous cycling. I used a P B time delay ...

Ran the noon test and the amprobe showed 50-55 amps at start up and between 40-45 amps running. One of the guys wife was out in the yard and could hear it 1 1/2 miles away. Should I play with it more or leave it alone.

Hi Guys, Rotated the brushes today. She spins right up now and drawing 48 amps at peak. Thanks for all the help on this one. Next up is a single phase STH-10 and a 3 phase 7T.
