It was one of those situations where the siren was a special request which was then absorbed into the product lineup. The Omnialert you are speaking of (which is featured in that video) would have ...

Brief Whelen History

Through a few e-mails, scrounging the deepest crevices of the Wayback Machine, and bit of additional research, I have a little something for you all: https://i.imgur.com/gi1i5P1.png A brief history of their outdoor warning sirens. Important: Text that is bolded refers to information that has been in...

Re: Cheyenne, WY Warning Siren History

I'm relatively certain these are 125s. The 125 didn't always have that big bulky intake on the bottom, and these look like they have straight stators, in contrast to the beveled stator that the 120 had. With that said, let's get started: Original System: To be perfectly honest, there i...

1992-1993 "ACA Identity Crisis"

I'm sure you all know the transfer of power that occurred in 1992 between Biersach and Niedermeyer and Hörmann America. There are, however, a few details that are often brushed over, mostly concerning what happened to the sirens. In the early 1990's, ACA made a huge sale to a middle eastern country ...
