Development in the Kenosha area is growing like crazy. I'd bet that before too long there'll be plenty of people for the lonely P-50's along I-94 to warn. That whole stretch between Milwaukee and Chicago will probably be entirely developed and densely populated someday. I see that P-50 every Novembe...

Is the 1003 still up in Lake Delton? I was under the impression that this was the 1003 everyone was referring to, but I checked a map and it's South of the Dells. It's at a fire station about a block East of the intersection of Wis. Dells Pkwy and Munroe Ave. Looked to be in pretty good shape last t...

Sad to hear of the Howler coming down, but at least it will be in good hands. I can't think of anybody better to fix it up right. Congrats on your new acquisition, Jeb. Dave: I'm not sure if these pictures will show all of what you want to see, but here's some ones I took after I restored the shroud...

Milwaukee County siren activation methods being updated

I realize this is a little late as it was published in early June, but I just found this article from the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel yesterday. http://www.jsonline.com/news/milwaukee/47533432.html I like the idea of updating the system, but I would personally rather have all the sirens sound and be ...

Neat. I was watching this storm on radar, it looked pretty intense for a while.

Were you incidentally in the area, or did you purposely head out to record the siren? Either way, nice job.

I was working outside at the Milwaukee County Zoo when this storm passed through. I heard multiple siren systems from Waukesha County, including Elm Grove's T-121's, Brookfield's 2001's and New Berlin's T-128's, but I never heard any sirens in Milwaukee County. I wasn't informed properly of the weat...

There's something vaguely beautiful about the shapes of what's left of it, almost a sculptural quality. But a shame nonetheless that it's been neglected to this point.

Not HD but HQ. I think that's how youtube qualifies videos with stereo sound, but standard definition picture. All my stereo siren videos are HQ.
