Re: Federal Electric Model B Monthly Test - Easton, Maryland

I'd like to bump this as a Facebook user recently aquired one of these, and I figured it was worth mentioning that this is not a Federal Type B, Sterling or anything of the sort. Hello Rick, and welcome back! You may try reaching out to Jeb McCraine on Facebook. Jeb is still installing sirens, though I don't believe he is active here on the board these days.

Re: Another Siren Mystery - Sterling...Denver...or What?

The tag on the conduit box simply says "CONNECTION DATA - SINGLE PHASE". As for the siren, the only thing I can think of, is around 1911, Sauk City Fire Department tested some early contrivance of a Denver Siren brought up by William A Box himself. The test was dissatisfactory, and one The...

Re: The "Models in existence" thread

I gave it it's own thread, but I don't think I added it to this sticky. Every listed or confirmed Denver Siren location so far: https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=1QgGd3k0x9DwvYmT-hv33uyU_dRenKNA&usp=sharing Wow, I'm impressed! My father actually grew up in Albertson, and he said that the s...

Re: A siren explodes during testing

Hold on a minute... So we obviously know that nowadays it is E.D. Bullard, but something struck me as a bit weird here. If you look closely, you can CLEARLY see that it says: "W.D. Bullard". Could this be an error when it was written, or does this mean that it originally stood for somethi...

Re: i need your help.

did it not occur to you to post a Maps link for all of us to try and find it? Because all of the information you've given is extremely broad and hard to follow Did it occur to you that you can just open Google maps yourself and search "Pineville WV"? That may narrow things down a bit....

The one in Ponchaotula, LA has sadly been removed.
That's very unfortunate, it was active. Do you know what has become of it?

Hey all,

I'm glad this got bumped, I trekked up here two years ago to get some better photos of this thing when it was still up. Here's what I got!

D. E. W.! So it wasn't a klaxon after all! Thanks for this update!
