Re: UK Siren Map

I powered through the rest of BritishLSSystems's information and got the map updated accordingly. Great.gif Thanks! Did some more digging with RAF Fairford. Turns out it was originally a 2005 vintage system of Modulators, with some Whelen 2800s added in later. Then, in the 2010s they removed one Wh...

Re: UK Siren Map

Updates: Added two Sellafield Site sirens and updated the site pins. Many thanks to Tristan Gillett for that. Added more information to the Heysham warning siren. From experience on site now that I work in the industry, I had some more information which lined up with the siren's use, signal and loc...

Re: UK Siren Map

Jings, it's been a while. Happy to have seen Jason B get access to the map, or there'd be a massive stack of locations to add! Late last year, I became an apprentice and have been working ever since, so I apologise for not logging in more often. We have over 200 pins! And many more locations to disc...

Re: UK Siren Map

Hello I don't know if you still are updating the map but I have have found many new locations listed below. BOC Limited, Manchester - Not Sure If it is a siren, with street view is quite hard to tell: https://www.google.com/maps/@53.5109581,-2.3582702,3a,15y,357.87h,95.59t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1sT8eEh...

Re: Making new siren parts

Okay so here is a question that I’ve been curious about for a while. In terms of both practicality and legality, is it possible to have parts machined or made that aren’t sold? Like for example: you can get most thunderbolt parts brand new even today. However there are also parts that you obviously...

Stick a 2-240 into a bolt and you'll be fine, owing to the fact that the centre tap transformer that controls the chopper levels, I believe, outputs 170 (I think) through 240V, chopper level 1 through 7.
Chopper level 1 is 120v
Sounds more like it. Thanks!

And that doesn’t vary by thunderbolt model? Like my bolt for example (my RCM panel...) is a 220...

I wouldn't exactly call that rare unless it was a 4/5 one. Still an interesting find though nonetheless.
Is their anyway to tell if its a 4/5 port?
By listening.
