Emergency Vehicle headlight patterns

What are your favorite emergency vehicle headlight patterns? Mine are the regular alternate flashes from the inner left/right, both sets of lights flashing left/right, and the setting where there's several rounds of alternating flashes, an almost slight pause, then a FLASH FLASH of both the left &am...

Re: Favorite tones on emergency vehicles - dual or single tone?

Once within the last 2-3 months I had seen not 1, not 2, not even 3 police vehicles going to an emergency, there were 5 of them, and I even saw a SWAT vehicle being used as well at some point last year I believe.

Re: Favorite tones on emergency vehicles - dual or single tone?

I rarely hear Hi-Lo on any of the sirens that Aberdeen, SD's emergency vehicles use, but I love the fact that I live close to the main fire department in downtown Aberdeen. Almost every time there's some sort of call, I can see & hear part of the action right from the comfort of my own living ro...

Favorite tones on emergency vehicles - dual or single tone?

What are your favorite tones on emergency vehicles? I think a dual toned siren with hi-lo and super fast wail would definitely catch my attention. I rarely hear the Hi Lo siren in Aberdeen, SD, but when I do, it's a treat. What are your favorite tones, and do you prefer single or dual tone systems?

It almost sounds like a police car siren!!!!! Not because of the rise/fall, but the frequency that the siren sounds the tone at.

Re: Third St. Bridge siren in San Francisco

I love how they use the classic "Train crossing bells" during the bridge lifting & dropping. And I like the siren usage too! I know one is used to warn people & vehicles that the bridge is about to lift, and another is used while the bridge is lifting & dropping. Neat video!!!

Re: Impromptu film of 3T22 with weird cycle pattern in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia

I know Mobridge, SD has a siren exactly like this, and it used to go off at, around, or near 10 PM for curfews during the summer, but now it's used as a fire siren, and it does a really iodd tone similar to this when a call comes in. Mobridge, SD does have a volunteer fire department.
