Maine sirens

Hi, I've been off the forums for a bit because I am staying in York, Maine. We flew into Portland the 27th, I think, and drove through Ogunquit, but I haven't seen a single siren! I'll post pictures if I get any. Does anyone know if there are any near York?

Great job man! That'll be fun to restore, just don't go sticking your fingers anywhere they shouldn't go...
Yeah, Joe Molter learned quite a lesson that way... Great find!

Nice logo! Someone should make it 3D in Photoshop. Not to get off topic, but has anyone ever noticed that the sideways top of a Thunderbeam looks like a 500AT?

Oh....my....gosh! Even Garland, Texas left their Thunderbolts in better shape than that-- after sitting by a water tower for over 10 years! (Look on Brent Willcox's site.) That blower looks like someone put an Oreo smoothie in there on test day!

I agree, it's nice to see some variety in, in my opinion, the most humdrum siren of them all. I love how they just dug out the design from the 500AT and said, "Let's make the back end look like that!" I'm not saying it's bad; I like that look.

Aw, poor sick siren...Did you give it some chicken soup and tissues? Hope it's nothing major, e.g. total overhaul. I've never seen one just stop like that.

Have you checked on the J Marcoz Siren archive? Some of their pictures are pre-2000, but most are post-2000.

BellyJae lives in the same area as me, and Elliott, too. I got to hear my 1000T down the street for a severe thunderstorm warning-- but the weird thing was, it would have been test day for Cincinnati sirens 2 hours before they went off!

I'm pretty sure it's a High-pitched 1000T. Remember the Glassport (Pennsylvania, I think it was) 1000T that sounded exactly like this one?
