Re: EOWS 612s found in Ontario

My friend 4j25 spotted these either last year or the year before last. I've had them on my maps for a while.

Re: Federal Signal 2001 Variant Differences

Here's the simplest way I can put it. nvanw27 had it very close, but had some years wrong. 2001-SRN 1st generation was 1988-1989, the "roundback" model. Model was offered with a coded option that presently is unknown to truly exist. 2nd generation was 1990-1996, the same as Gen 1 with squa...

This might be the one that’s for sale on eBay currently.
It's not. That 1212 came from Ohio. Dang people paid around $450 for that siren and are trying to sell it for 100x more than that lol

Re: Federal Signal Siratrol Radio Tone Decoder Boards (Need help finding activation tones)

(Although this may seem like a story, its a support question) So yesterday I went and got a Federal Signal Siratrol unit off an inactive model 2 siren (The siren had been removed years ago but the control panels still remained). I got the unit home and tried to get the radio working (I work in radi...

Re: 3t22A refurbishment help.

An AR timer will work perfectly fine to control the siren. You'll need to get ahold of a motor contactor that matches the specs of the motor and that should be the bare basics to get it running after wiring up your control system. If you want to take it one step further, you can get your hands on a ...

Re: Theory: GCS Was Really Federal Electric

I still feel that further evidence needs to be uncovered before making assumptions. I mentioned this on Facebook too, just because the tag is Federal doesn't mean that it wasn't distributed by someone else. If we're going by that logic, then Darley's distributed sirens aren't Darley at all. It's jus...

Re: Model 3 Activation Problems

An FC Controller is a specific type of siren controller that is offered by Federal Signal. However, there’s also the FC RADIO, which is its own deal. I do understand that the siren’s controller could be causing this issue, but there could also be an issue with the radio’s processor freezing. Around...

Re: What sirens does everyone own? Tell us below!

I've currently got a Federal UVICU from 2014. Was originally purchased by Mississippi Power Company and it was never installed for whatever reason. It originally shipped with 1 amplifier, the UVARM module and the SE2000 Serial to Ethernet converter to enable IP activation and monitoring. When I boug...

Re: Analog Siren Controllers

Yes it was very helpful! So is there anything mechanical going on inside the cabinet? Forgive me for my lack of knowledge on electronic sirens lol. Typically the only thing mechanical inside the controllers is a relay to activate the rotator on rotating arrays, but on controllers like ACA/ASC's con...
