What's the purpose of the well pump on that thunderbolt?

The chopper armature and field burned out and they rigged the well pump motor to run the chopper.

I have had a lot of thunderbolts apart and I have never seen anything like that. Is that a tube that this thing is attached to? It sure looks like it in the pic. When you take your chopper motor apart the numbers will be on the bearings.
I always put what was in there originally. They will be either one of the numbers stormsetter listed.

Why did you pull out the chopper motor to run it?
It's a lot easier running it in the siren than having it spin around on the floor.

Just a note, be careful with static converters. They don't actually convert anything. They essentially are just a start circuit.
