Re: Cincinnati Metropolitan Area Sirens

Photos from driving around today. Nothing really special about these, but I don't know that anyone has posted them before. Newtown T-128 #2 replaced a Werden P-127. https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1451/26126199102_4564643ac7_c.jpg Federal Signal 2001, Milford, OH by Harvestman Man , on Flickr https:/...

Re: Miscellaneous Siren Photos Thread

Couldn't tell you exactly where this was in Maryland...somewhere outside of Baltimore near Owings Mills, I believe.

Re: Post your Mystery Sirens here.

I posted this photo before many of you were born. Air is drawn in at the bottom of the rotor and the top is a solid plate. This was the old fire siren from Pacific City, Oregon. Crescent City, California, had one of these at their fire station until the mid-1980's. http://i1035.photobucket.com/albu...

Re: 4j's Maps

I would imagine that Tbolt on Salem was moved to the new station on Beechmont. If you remember hearing, the ones at Kellogg & Sutton, Beechmont & Markley, and 8 Mile & Clough were all purchased from Franklin County in the early 90s. Didn't know about the purchase from Franklin County, t...

Re: 4j's Maps

A couple that need adding from Hamilton County: 3537 Church Street, Newtown - STH-10 (removed) - this was a fire siren for Newtown, not part of the local system and operated separately. Has been removed since the fire department moved out in the past year or two. 7158 Salem Road, Anderson - 1000T (r...

Re: Miscellaneous Siren Photos Thread

Found a completely random Model 2 in the middle of Madison, NJ. Terrible StreetView image because I forgot to go back and get a proper picture of it. Not sure what it is used for, if it's used at all.

It seems that no one has posted a photo of the Allertor in Batavia yet. Re: Cincinnati Metropolitan Area Sirens

Found this Thunderbolt hidden away in Avondale, in the back of a tiny former(?) police/fire station. No idea if it is active or not.

Re: Cincinnati Metropolitan Area Sirens

NKU finally tested their Modulators a few minutes ago. Their test consists of about 30 seconds of hi-lo, followed by a voice announcement: "This is a test of the Northern Kentucky University public warning system. This is only a test." Unfortunately I didn't see it coming at all, so no cha...

Re: Franklin County, OH

Pole-mounted on Sutton Road near Kellogg Avenue (removed and replaced by a 2001-SRN in early 2000s) Pole-mounted at the power substation on Markley Road (recently removed by Werden Electric to be refurbished and re-installed, replaced by a T-128) Just as a quick note: I'm curious if the Sutton Road...
