7 Videos from 7 Places: Of Bumblebolts, trash cans, and 517 hertz

So...it's been a while since I've uploaded anything. There's a long story there: first it turned out my shiny new editor was completely incapable of handling my camera correctly, then I lost the files for one of these videos for several months and had multiple failures after that, then I found the f...

Re: The "Various Sirens" series and others

It's been pretty busy for me, so I've been putting my efforts into maintaining existing maps.

But I haven't forgotten about it, or the SC project. ;)

Re: The "Various Sirens" series and others

Thanks! Somehow I completely failed to spot that 2910...updated. My info on it being an OA-4 is from the Whelen website - their list of universities and colleges with their sirens differentiates between 2900s and OAs, and SGTC isn't bold (which denotes 2900s). As for Fort Gordon, I'll get that added...

Re: The "Various Sirens" series and others

Got one more GA location for ya Calvin: Shellman has a Darley Helmet Siren on W. Ward St atop a building that looks to be an old town hall. In addition, in Habersham, as of yesterday Mt. Vernon Mills' 5 is still there. and upon closer inspection, it actually is a 5T. I drove by it yesterday and cou...

Re: The "Various Sirens" series and others

Can you add my videos to the Pennsylvania map? They're all embedded down below. [SNIP] So I went on a small, local siren hunt today (my first!) and brought back some pictures for the Pennsylvania map. The pictures are in the following order: [SNIP] Perfect! I just noticed Rheems1 logged on. Here's ...

Re: The "Various Sirens" series and others

Okay guys, time for an update. Since I finally have time to commit to more than just keeping the GA map up to date, I'll read back through this and update the maps as needed over the coming weekend.

Re: New Mexico Sirens

This isn't necessarily right next to Santa Fe, but it's on the right side of the state - are you going to be anywhere near Raton at some point? I ran across a (sadly inactive) Type B at their fire station.

I also found some scattered Model 2s in one-horse towns along and off of the US 87 corridor.

Re: Post your Mystery Sirens here.

ADT tried their hand at them a while back , and that siren - part of the campus system for the University of Mary Washington - is one of the results. Thank you for reminding me to update the Virginia map (which I'm going to assume is how you found it) after updated street view revealed it clearly. ...
