Re: ACA Hurricane 130 siren

And the only siren that really has a scrap value is sirens that are metal like the Thunderbolt. Fiberglass doesn't have a good value right now and for a while it hasn't had a good scrap value. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that you have no clue what you are talking about. Fiberglass has no ...

Re: Is this Banshee coded?

The banshee you got is coded. It also did come from Mineral Point. ECS (AKA former Action Electrical Contractors for those that remember that name from the old Rock County WI Sound Master post on here) are the Wisconsin representative for Federal Signal. When they started dealing Federal Signal arou...

Re: Siren Mystery

It is one contact closure for the starter motor. The brain of the box where the programming is controls the contacts for the motor starter. The county uses a tone b tone for pager/siren activation. Here is a link to a video of the weekly test on Monday August 30th https://youtu.be/MhuZeu_GRYU Looki...

Re: Federal Signal DCFCTBD Mechanical siren battery charging circuit

With your set up you should have three large contactors in your DCFCTBD one for the rotator, one for the chopper to run on battery, and one for the chopper to run on the transformer rectifier. The battery contactor and T/R contractor should have a buss bar going between posts on the terminals that c...

Re: Siren parts

Sorry for bumping the thread, but does anyone know what driver the Alertronic uses? The Alertronic used the Atlas SD-370, those have since been discontinued, but I believe you can still get replacement diaphragms for them. If you are looking for something new they now make an AS-100N, but they are ...

Re: My Modulator MCP Test, 4 Signals

TaLd1s59shc A video of my FS Modulator's MCP in action. I'm surprised I got it to work. I tried activating it in all signals. I was only able go get it to do 4 signals. Which is wail, alert, fast wail, and Westminster chimes. I don't know why the MCP control module couldn't do hi-lo and pulse. I pl...

Re: Babcock Wisconsin thunderbolt 1003 noon whistle

The siren does not go off Hi-Lo for fire calls. Town said it was not used for fire calls we removed the one solenoid it had for parts. The new radio is not set up to activate the RCM-3.

Everything I know about the Alertronic Controllers

After many months of not seeing much on here, I figured now is a good time to post this. I know we have the Facebook Group, but I feel like the forum seems like a better place to post this since it is searchable and will probably stand the test of time, unlike Facebook. Word of warning if you are li...
