Re: Franklin County, Ohio Siren Discussion

Franklin County has been installing brand new 4004s. One went up this summer at the corner of Trabue Rd. and McKinley Ave.

Does anyone know which siren it was?
There were a bunch of posts on Reddit about this. It appears to be in the Linworth area but I couldn't decipher a specific siren.

Re: Franklin County, Ohio Siren Discussion

So the prankster would have had to have the radio equipment to set off the tones? The Channel 6 story mentioned that someone would have to be very close to the siren, probably standing nearby. Hope they catch the guy. Next you'll hear people say "Get rid of the sirens!" if this keeps happe...

Re: Franklin County, Ohio Siren Discussion

Roof mounted locations I'm aware of:
Fire Station 19 on High Street had a roof mounted T-Bolt
Neil House Hotel across from the state house
Grain elevator on the West Side/Sullivant Ave.

I'm sure there are other former 'Bolt locations ...

Re: Central Florida & Surrounding Siren Dicussion

By the way, here's a photo of the Thunderbolt at Henry B Plant High School in 1970. https://www.reddit.com/r/AirRaidSirens/comments/gmmvlk/henry_b_plant_high_school_1970/ It's long past time we find some photos of the T-Bolts that Tampa had. There may have been another model used in some locations ...

Pretty certain this is the siren I recall seeing in Redington Shores, FL, in the mid '90s.

Pinellas County, FL Cold War/CD/fire siren map

I created a map of Cold War era sirens based on memory and social media posts of locations of St. Petersburg's CD siren system and research from newspapers: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1iXn2-G4xzz7_R7zQIgjuOJqj9uxlL7Gy&usp=sharing I did not include the Pinellas jail siren since that was a l...
