Re: ACA Hurricane-130 Tornado Siren Test In Darien Illinois

Because the hurricane has 2 choppers and the thunderbolt and model 2 have one. That's why a dual tone thunderbolt doesn't seem as potent as a dual tone hurricane. Too bad nobody seems to own a fully functioning mkII hurricane. It would be fun to do a shootout between that one and the bolt. Anyways....

ACA Hurricane-130 Tornado Siren Test In Darien Illinois

Hey Guys, Just went to record the ACA Hurricane-130 siren. Man it was loud! I couldn't hear anything while the Hurricane-130 was on. It's was maybe one times more louder than a Thunderbolt siren. Just saying because the sound wave was more intense than even the ACA PN-20 siren that I recored last mo...

Re: Images Of The ACA PN-20 Siren In Romeroville Illinois

I had to go out to Joliet today and on the way home, decided to do a drive by of this siren. It was around 2PM. It will be gone by the end of the summer I would say. The siren has been there since the early 1990's. It has a Federal controller/radio on it since the rest of the system is Federal and ...

Re: Sirens In LA

Weren't there also a few Scream Master sirens down there? There's even some 2T22 Or 3T22 sirens in California also. If you look carefully you notice that there's no power lines going to any of the sirens. When I first saw couple of California Civil Defense sirens pictures I thought they did still h...

Re: P-50 in Rockwall

Nice. They aren't any P-50's near me anymore. Aurora Illinois replaced most of them by now sadly. At least I got some videos of the one near my house. Aurora also replaced the one near my house also. The one near my was one of the very last ones to get replaced with a ASC T-135 AC/DC siren. Most of ...

Re: New ASC T-112's in Dane County WI

Why a T-112? Why not a T-121? A T-112 is basically a T-121 minus the horns. They were replacing the sirens with those of equivalent range. T-112s are going to be a few thousand dollars cheaper than a T-121, so there was no need to have something bigger considering that they have get about the same ...

Model 7's they replaced. I also found a 3rd T-112 on Buckeye Road
That's in front of someones house. They couldn't put it somewhere else?
