Re: A Thunderbolt Question

Just (Hopefully) one, last question for now, how many dBs does a single tone & dual tone conduct with blower off?

Re: Sentry 40V1T?

Pardon me if I bumped this, but just correcting Dan. In Muslim countries, civil defense sirens, electronic sirens connected to mosque speakers, or cannon mark the end of the day's Ramadan fast. This depend on culture, however. In my country, Malaysia, sirens are just at a handful of places since onl...

Re: Whelen VortexO2 | Noon Blast | Belmont Wi

I saw a CD Yellow Box on a pole a few feet away from the VortexO. What siren used to be there before this VO unit?

Currently, I'm in a trip to Kuantan, Pahang. On the way there, I've found another A141 in Teluk Cempedak beach. Will be adding it to the map.

Re: Federal Signal 500AT Prototype?

It would have certainly been not practical to install... The 500-DH-TT (famously known also as the 550AT) was already a pain to install given how heavy it was I thought it's because of its mount. I got a hassle of trying to mount one (Obviously in ROBLOX) on a 2-pole tower (The one just like one th...

Re: Wood 8-port siren

Hey Zarlog!

Just one question, have you tried making one of your sirens with directional vanes (Straight blades, opposed to this one's, which is a non-directional)? IIRC there's a post by Alfie W(?) telling about it, I summed 'em up by the previous sentence.

Re: New guy first post /UPDATE

this siren is being used for a museum display. he wants a recording, but not the siren sounding in real life. Yeah, I know that, but just like I mentioned before, it makes more sense of the real sounding with lower sound output (By putting layers of fabric) instead of a 'mocking sounding'. Probably...

Re: New Hampshire Diaphone?

Seems like they did use the old way of sounding diaphones; get to the valve, open and shut it, instead of an automated, radio or 1-push system.
