Re: Was their ever a STL-10C?

IIRC there was an STH-10C found some time ago on the ARS, so the thought of an STL-10C wouldn't be too far fetched. I don't have the photos on hand, so if anyone can find it that would be great! Sidenote: you would not be able to simply slap a 3T22 intake onto an STH/L-10. The rotor on the STL is m...

Re: Advice For Newer Enthusiasts?

If you want to have a personal siren, I would suggest the model 2. They fit in small spaces and they aren’t 500lbs. If you want something you know works, get a brand new DSA2. They come brand new for $1.4k. (2 speakers) It's near impossible to get your hands on a model 2 for a decent price for some...

Re: Post your Mystery Sirens here.

Someone posted this on the ARS subreddit and, well, just take a look. I have absolutely no idea what this could be and it looks too good to be custom. Located somewhere in Maiden Rock, WI. https://preview.redd.it/xh7emek9n8q51.jpg?width=640&crop=smart&auto=webp&s=047cb53b92198579395d1449...

Re: ACA Hurricane 130 siren

I wonder if a used siren vendor could buy them. I've seen worse sirens get saved. ( Glendale's bird poop white model 5 springs to mind, as well as most of the now preserved Chrysler sirens.) I was wondering about that too. The problem is, I don't know of any used siren vendors in the entire state, ...

Re: ACA Hurricane 130 siren

Just a little update here. I wish I had better news, but it turns out they don't sell anything from the scrapyard and they won't let the public in either. Which is understandable considering liability issues and all that, so I don't think I'm going to go any farther with this. If someone else wants ...

Re: ACA Hurricane 130 siren

Alright, I have definitely got to check that place out. It's not too far from my family's cabin I go up to every few weeks. Those images were taken almost 5 years ago, but if it sat there 8 years I could see it sitting there 5 more. I think my best bet is going to be to offer them a big wad of cash ...
