Re: Post your Mystery Sirens here.

How do you know if it isn't a particular model of HOR or B&M siren that is different than other sirens made by the company? Just because it doesn't match what the other models look like doesn't mean it inst made by that company. As for the B&M guy comparing it to the AR20, there have been a...

Re: Post your Mystery Sirens here.

The rotors and stators are much taller than that of any HOR. The openings open up much wider than any HOR stator. A close look will find many differences that make it pretty clear that it’s not an HOR.

Re: Post your Mystery Sirens here.

Nobody, I just want to prevent that in advance because it is at the B&M shop. The owner (Kevin) said it’s not a B&M, and showed me a B&M AR-20 for comparison.

Re: Post your Mystery Sirens here.

Alright, here’s a tough one. It’s not an HOR or B&M.. Scream Master is a possibility. It’s 8/10 port (yes, 8/10), has a 10hp Sterling Electric motor, and it’s a vertical siren. It’s standing on legs and has no indication of anything that could possibly make it a horizontal siren. The stators ha...

Re: SONGS former hand built siren FOUND!!!!!!!!

First of all it is not made by Toshiba and you should’ve known that by now. As for progress.. Not much progress quite yet. So far we’ve gotten bolts and assembled the blower, I’ve been removing rust from the large pulley and all the parts that were corroded. I also painted the pulley black, just lik...

Re: SONGS former hand built siren FOUND!!!!!!!!

I have a theory as for the High-Low signal: I remember seeing a siren from a foreign country (I sadly cannot remember where) that ran a "mock-up" High-Low by altering the voltage going to the motor; full speed for the high, and a lower voltage for the low. There may have been a transforme...

Re: SONGS former hand built siren FOUND!!!!!!!!

So this siren is Hi-Lo Capable? Exited to hear it sound all three signals, but wait, is it Alternate Wail-Capable? In my logic, if it's Hi-Lo Capable, of course it could sound Alternate Wail. And I'm also curious, if this siren works the same manner as a Thunderbolt and a Hurricane, meaning it has ...

Re: SONGS former hand built siren FOUND!!!!!!!!

There’s a very high tolerance between the impeller and housing so it will work well. I will be making new fiberglass horns for it and wiring it up.
