Maybe it's just me, but Hawaii's siren system seems completely unreliable. It seems like half of the videos people attempt to record of a siren are of a siren that falls silent for some unknown reason on that test day. :|

Thanks for the attempt, pup. :)

Awesome test. I hope that if I can restore mine accordingly, I can find a way to test it. Though mine is a 3 phase, so I guess that'll be very difficult. I noticed you don't have any control panels with it on that cart. Do you not use an RCM1 or AF Timer? Also, out of curiosity, couldn't the stand-p...

Re: Hutchinson, KS TBolts, weird sounding 2001, and other 20

It sounds a little off for Fast Wail, but that's what it could be doing. Notice how it alternates between the wail and a steady Alert signal. That's what's so weird about it. I think it may have been two different sirens he recorded. During the video, he changes location frequently so it is most li...

One of those guies in the video said something about a base, so that could be in Fort Calhoun. If that's the case, the 9/12 port siren is likely a P-10. The base he's referring to is the "Offutt Air Force Base" that's south of Bellevue, Nebraska, which is about 10 miles south of Omaha, Ne...

Are you talking about the signal that starts at about 1:24? That's the "Fire" signal the FSC 2001 is capable of and is called "Fast Wail". Signal / Frequency Range / Sweep Rate STEADY / 790Hz / N.A. WAIL / 470Hz - 790Hz / 10 sec. FAST WAIL / 600 - 790Hz / 3.6 sec. Here's a video ...

Sounds like an SD-10, because it doesn't appear to be rotating. It could be one of those P-10's though.
Definitely has to be an SD-10, or possibly a Banshee.

You know, it's really scary to think that the "elected" officials don't know squat. If left to their own devices, they wouldn't know how the city works and what to do next without these "consultants." I wouldn't be surprised if that's what Tulsa is doing. The only other thing I c...

How rare are the 4008's? Here in new hampshire and massachusetts we have about 30 of them not including a ton of 3016's with the seabrook nuclear plant. Well, they're much rarer than a WS 3016, I'd think. As the WPS 4008 was discontinued due to poor sales. Practically all of the cities in Northeast...

They should be about 126dB at 100', since they're basically an Allertor 125 with a different fiberglass casing.
