Nice photos. The second one should be a 2001-AC/2001-DC given it's Thunderbolt rotator mechanism.

Dude, that is such an awesome video. I wish it were on youtube so I could favorite it. I mean really, how awesome is it that the guy mowing the lawn FINALLY gets to the point of mowing around the base of the siren and that just happens to be when it goes off? Almost as if the siren was getting upset...

You can still bid on a siren. Just go to the public auction when they have it. It's easy to snag one cheap. That's a great idea! I'll have to email him again and see when/if they'll be at the public auction. Since there are over 60 of them, maybe I can get one for $500 or less. I wonder if I could ...

Tulsa only has one of the 4008's, and no it won't be replaced. When the system was originally installed, it had 60 of the model 3000's. It has since grown to 84 sirens, mostly the 4004's and a few of the omni directional sirens. It is the original remaining 3000's that will be replaced. We can use ...

I find it really hilarious how certain states and areas react to sirens. Like, in Tulsa people WANT a siren nearby and some people, when moving to Tulsa, will determine which house they buy by how close it is to a siren. Than there's people that don't want it anywhere near them, but they're always t...

Mr. Marshall, Tulsa is in the process of replacing it's siren system. We will replace our older Whelen sirens with 2910's, not Vortex's. And since the newer sirens have a greater range than the older 3000's, we will likely be moving some sirens. Because of this, it may be a year before any of the o...

I'm not really 100% on mounting the cabinets on the trailer, since I don't have access to a portable 220V supply. I'll figure something out Is there no way to set it up so that it could be powered through the control boxes if a 220V power source is available AND by whatever alternative source you w...

I liked the thunderbolt 1000. Is there any visible difference between the various 2001 models? (i.e. DC, SRN, SRN-B, 130, easy to tell the difference between a new 2001 and a roundback one! ) Early versions of the 2001 featured a round-back design with a Thunderbolt 1000 rotator mechanism: ht...

I didn't notice anything, but this video certainly makes me love the 2001 series siren. It really sounds at "home" in this video, hehe.
