Does anyone know the model name or number for the 2001 Roundback? Someone told me it is 2001-AB. Hopefully Adam Pollak can jump in with that, as he photographed a round back 2001 in West Memphis, AR. http://www.jmarcoz.com/sirens/westmemphis3_ar.jpg Hopefully he still has the high resolution origin...

I've read through the manuals for the Hornet, WPS 4000 Series, and WPS 2800/2900 series and can't find anything on what the WPS actually stands for.

Hopefully someday somebody can tell us.

Definitely a single tone. I had no idea Banshee's came in anything other than 9/12 configurations.

You're going to own an actual Banshee siren? Lucky you, I hope to get one for my father someday, since they kind of look like two cowboy hats stuck together.

Wasn't the gas powered Thunderbolt called a Thunderbolt 7000?

The Thunderbolt pictured was a conceptual drawing, I don't think it was ever physically produced. Correct me if I'm wrong?

Claremore, OK installed new Whelen Vortexes throughout their city, but still use their older ThunderBeams as a backup system.

No idea how many Thunderbeams they have or how many Vortexes they have.

Re: 5 AM sirens called a UFO

I've actually heard some Whelens do that before, in another video. I'll have to find the link. The only other video where I've seen them do something similar to that is this Oklahoma City video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=czUU9Fd4xMk It does it right at the beginning. 1.) Wind up 2.) Wind up 3....

Re: 5 AM sirens called a UFO

That's funny how the YouTube poster called them a UFO! Do you have any idea why they keep restarting at random, without winding down? It doesn't sound like a Whoop signal to me. Well, given that there doesn't appear to be any storm in his area, they probably malfunctioned. They were probably receiv...
