Re: Texas Siren Testing

I'd be interested in recordings between Wichita Falls and Amarillo. Central TX (where I'm at) is pretty desolate as far as I'm concerned, unless you really want a hundred different shots of a rusted Model 2. I know SirenkiD has got DFW (where I grew up) covered, which can be kinda fun depending on w...

Re: Thunderbolt 1000t in Mason, TX

Well thats not the best way to lock a RCM panel. Any curious kid could untie that, open the RCM, and sound the Thunderbolt off by accident. It's definitely what I thought when I found it, certainly one of the easier RCMs to access I've found. I guess they manually test so often that it's all right ...

Thunderbolt 1000t in Mason, TX

I've never seen anything posted on this one before, but there's a 1000t out in Mason, TX (2.5 hours northwest of Austin) I drove out to see today. She's not in the best shape, and I've read a couple notices from the city regarding their "old siren" that frequently requires manual activatio...

Re: An Update on Cedar Hill, TX

It's a shame. I was meaning to call Gifford for the last year or so to see what they were planning on doing with the units post removal but never got around to it. Oh well. These aren't new but if anyone's interested here are two videos I took of the Water Tower and Station 212 Thunderbolts. R.I.P. ...

Re: Federal Signal Thunderbolt West Bank Minneapolis 2/4/15

the priceless reactions of everyone who was lucky enough to be caught on camera in Sam's video, especially the poor soul in the lower left just trying to load/unload their car That's exactly what I was thinking. I want to start a sub called 'People Reacting To Loud arse Sirens' ...arse? Alright, ar...

Re: (Not mine) High Pitched Thunderbolt 1000A-Denver, CO

the Thunderbolt at station 26 across Quebec (which is still there and looks incredible) Apparently Station 26 has since been reappropriated as a brewery? Maybe a beer/roof excursion (what could go wrong?) is in order next time I'm in the area. https://www.google.com/maps/place/Station+26+Brewing+Co...

Re: Vintage siren photos thread

This is the only photograph I've been able to find of Waco, Texas' old Thunderbolt system. Seriously, it's as if there wasn't a single photograph of downtown Waco taken between the years 1960-99, to the exception of this one. If anyone else knows of any photographs of the old Waco system I might act...

Re: My recording of the Sentry 10v in Georgetown, TX screaming across I-35

I remember seeing it off the interstate a few times on the way to Austin. Do they have any others around there? Sirens, yes. Sentry sirens, not that I know of in the area. Georgetown proper has a Fedelcode model 5 and two model 2's, as well as an additional model 3 outside town on the Georgetown da...
