Re: DFW Area Sirens?

There's still a T-Bolt on top of the A.D. Marshall Public Safety & Courts Building in downtown Fort Worth. Pretty sure it's the only remaining Thunderbolt in Fort Worth, and it's been inactive for over a decade, though I remember talking to someone who said the power's still connected. Anyway, i...

Re: Sirens Removal Question

So the company is straight up misinformed? They were saying it was a directive of FS and ubiquitous. If the city is fine with them being given away, or are generally apathetic towards the siren's fate, should I argue with the company that they're wrong?

Sirens Removal Question

I spoke with a company that does siren maintenance/installation/removal in DFW, and they said they were obligated by Federal Signal to destroy their Thunderbolts post removal. Not sellable, not legal, each unit must be completely destroyed. Can someone expand on why this is the case? Is this true on...

EDIT: historical street view coughed this up.
Jared with the clutch street view find! My hopes and dreams are dashed against the rocks but your sleuthing skills are impressive nonetheless.

Denton, TX Sirens

So I was driving through Denton last weekend when I stumbled upon what looked like an unmistakable Thunderbolt setup. It's out front of Fire Station #4. I've scoured the forum for Denton siren info and haven't found anything about any Thunderbolts in Denton proper, but take a look at this setup and ...

Re: Olney, TX B-series 1003 info

...well I went out there anyway this afternoon and stumbled upon the correct test time (noon). The town's other two sirens went off (found an allertor but didn't care enough to locate the second) but the 1003 did nothing. Guess she's dead.

Olney, TX B-series 1003 info

Hey guys, I've been trying to get information about the Olney siren system. Emailed a couple city employees (emergency management, fire, police, etc.) about whether or not/when they test their sirens but never heard back. Been wanting to make the hike up there for awhile now to film their 1003 but d...

Re: Dallas TX area sirens

Ennis, TX (about 35 minutes south of Dallas) has about 6 Thunderbolts that are tested the first Wednesday of the month at noon; that's the next place I'm gunna hit!
