Re: Federal Signal Modualtor II. Moore, Oklahoma.

Where exactly in Moore is this one located and are there any more new sirens (aside from the 5 they replaced from the tornado)?

Federal 2001 Series Expansion

So, the Equinox isn't anything really new to us, however, I just noticed that Federal has combined both the 2001-130 and the Equinox to make the 2001 series on their website. What's interesting is that they aren't very specific on the output rating, but they indicate that the 70db range for the 2001...

Fairborn Replaces 2 2T22s

Here's a good article on Fairborn, OH's siren upgrade that just took place. Fairborn has a system of 6 2001s plus 2 more 2001s at Wright State University.

Re: Mount Vernon, OH Thunderbolt 4-18-14

It sounds like the 2001 at Hiawatha Park to the NE isn't rotating either. It sounds like it was pointing right at you the whole time.

Re: Whelen 3016 Hocking Township, OH

All of Fairfield County's Whelen 3000s were donated from Perry Nuclear in either 2006 or 2007 (you were right on the first one) at no cost to the county. Fairfield County then overhauled everything on them including the electronics (hence the 560hz tone) before installing them. I had the chance to m...

Re: Whelen-ish EOWS 612 - Barberton, OH

The SiraTone series was available with single and dual tone signals according to their old spec sheets and manuals which would be the case here. You can't just swap sound cards or tone generators between controllers; you'd have to swap the entire controller to change the sound to the Whelen tone set.

Re: Xenia, Ohio Thunderbolt Sirens

There's a couple other Thunderbolt locations just outside Xenia, all of which have been replaced with TBolts.
- Union Rd. at Bell Rd (TBolt has been removed).
- Brush Row Rd. about 1/4 mile east of OH 68 (TBolt has been removed).

Re: Franklin County, Ohio map of remaining old sirens

There's also an abandoned TBolt off of High St. between 10th and 11th and an old yellow STL10 on Livingston Ave. at Geers St. On a building roof.
