Re: i need your help.

Have you tried looking over any of the existing siren maps? Or looked around using Streetview?

Re: I bought a Denver Siren.

Wow, this is very special. It's crazy how many of these super uncommon and previously unknown sirens are reaching collector hands recently!

The rotors were pretty much fedelcode ones. There was a case where a 2T22 had it's 10 port side swapped so it was a 12/12 with a rotor on the wrong side.
To be more specific, they're the same parts as used in the Model 3.

Not my videos, but there's something about a Thunderbolt that can't hold pitch... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3qmegBq4I8I And while it's technically not malfunctioning, this 500-SHTT spinning like a top has always been a favorite https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9iWDtVkUaKg And I suppose I shoul...

Re: Looking For A Lead For Sirens in Perkasie, Pennsylvania

The cluster of horns on that first building are diaphragm horns, not a whistle. They'd typically run on compressed air, but steam is also possible. The one on front of the old fire hall looks like a Federal Signal/Electric/Whatever Model A. Seeing a small siren like this to warn passersby that a fir...

To copy my reply on Reddit, for posterity: Looks like maybe a Secomak 447, but missing the plate used as a coding damper. The originals were in production since 1953, but there are clones out there now. https://www.airraidsirens.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=20233 https://www.geocities.ws/foxeye121/sir...

Re: The weirdest sirens ever seen.

Apparently, using Model Ls and other small sirens isn't that uncommon. Re: CLM History

The breaker was tripping so I’m guessing the motor has shorted. I think the siren was pulled out of Comox airforce station, still trying to confirm that. Would love to get feedback and information on what I’ve got and proper restoration steps. Thanks Hippie Welcome to the board! You'll probably wan...
