What kind of blower does this Thunderbolt use?

This Thunderbolt 1003 is located in downtown Greenfield, IN. The blower has a vent on the cover, however Jeb McCranie said that it sounds like it uses a 5M, plus its INSANELY loud so I'm wondering if they slapped a 4M cover on a 5M blower. Thoughts?

Re: "clunk" sound at siren start

If you listen closely (sometimes it's not audible in videos or audio recordings), the Federal Signal 2001 does it too. You can sort of hear it in this video. (Unless I copied and pasted the wrong link lol) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qgKCBD6x82Y

Re: Indianapolis Metropolitan Area Sirens

Now that you mention it, I recall hearing somewhere that Indy had a couple of HOR SiroDrones as well. It's possible that some of the "Model 5s" (including that one) might actually be SiroDrones.

Re: Indianapolis Metropolitan Area Sirens

nice 2001 garden you got there. what happened to the old sirens? Not sure. I know a couple of sirens were auctioned off but I'm pretty sure the rest were scrapped. There are, however, a handful of Model 5s that are still standing but inactive UPDATE: here are the locations of the Model 5s that are ...

Re: 2001 Roundback Angola, IN - 5/6/2017

For some reason, I though that only Roundbacks in Indiana were in Noblesville. Are there any more towns in the Hoosier State with Roundbacks?

Can you explain what FSK means?
IIRC, FSK stands for Frequency-Shift Keying, however I'm not sure about that.
Yes, you are correct

Indianapolis Metropolitan Area Sirens

WARNING! LONG POST AHEAD I know that a topic about Indianapolis (Marion County)'s system was posted a while back, but since that thread is outdated and not all of the info on it is 100% accurate, I figured I'd go ahead and start a new thread, since I do live in Indy and probably know more about thei...

Re: Best Siren Ambience?

Surprisingly, as far as the search bar determines, nobody has posted this one yet. Here is an ambience of downtown Cincinnati's old siren system. You can clearly hear the high pitched 1000, 4/5 port 1000T, a few additional Thunderbolts, some T-128s, a 2001 or two, and (faintly) Newport, Kentucky's ...
