Re: siren Warsaw, Indiana?

Inactive Modified Model 5. There's a 2001-130 nearby now. I can't imagine this thing covered very well.

Re: Sedgwick County KS scrapping current system.

At the end of the replacement project, there will 3 Thunderbolts left, a few 2T22s, and a Thunderbeam left from the old system. They will also no longer be relying on the ATI Radio system. As far as I know, the newer sirens such as the Whelens will be removed, and most 2001s relocated.

Re: Updated the Michigan Siren map

The map that you referenced is an outdated copy of the Michigan map that was used as a sandbox for imports over to the main one. You can find the much more accurate and more regularly updated Michigan map here: https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid= ... sp=sharing

Re: B&N Mobil Directo

This is the one I was thinking of. Somewhere, there’s a picture of the Thunderbolt that was on top of the school that was eventually replaced by this directo. There is a fully restored Directo stored at the EM offices in Memphis that is supposed to be reinstalled sometime in the future, it may be th...

Re: Jerome AZ Gamewell Cosgrave siren

This used to do noon blasts, but the Denver down the street took over for it when it burnt up 3-4 years ago. I believe this was the last active example in existence, and I can’t recall where any others are off the top of my head, if any remain.

Re: B&N Mobil Directo

Is this located at Graves Elementary School? If so, this replaced a Thunderbolt before being replaced with a Sentry.

Re: Siren Activation Channels

Sometimes, they're on county frequencies that don't appear on the RR home screen. Other times, they're trunked channels, or are on a state-level communication system that the county uses. Your best bet is to use a scanner with the 'close call' functionality.

Re: New sirens coming for St Clair County IL

Getting ATIs… I’m sure some will summirarily get turned into Swiss cheese as it is east STL Where did they say that? I watched all 3 videos and read all 3 articles and there is not one mention of what vendor they are using. I read an article posted on Facebook that clearly stated that "Acousti...

Re: Pentwater, MI village siren rebuild - what make and model and approx. year

It’s awesome to see someone local to me reinstalling their siren! As others have said, this is. W.S. Darley 5 horsepower ‘Champion’ siren, which has had a misnomer of ‘3V8’ in the siren community for a while.
