I would also much like to hear it. My guess would be that it's sound would be similar to that of a 10/12 port SoundMaster.
Of course, also with the T-128 being so close to it, maybe it's not in service anymore.
Oh, whoops. I was actually thinking of some of the nearby transmission towers that were blown over by the recent snow storm. They're built differently. Anyways, you're right, fire sirens aren't a priority in a tornado. But after the cleanup, the replacement (if necessary) afterwards is an exp...
What makes me shudder is the fact that it would be most likely blown down in a tornado, being an old electrical transmission pylon. As far as I know, they're not really stable under very high wind conditions.
IMHO, it looks much nicer with the disks! It looks like a SoundMaster 115, kinda. In fact, I would have guessed that was what it was if I saw it at a distance. I think 115s are awesome (not as much as 125s though, but that's irrelevant), so this 2T22 is awesome, too! Was it mounted to a metal pole ...
I suppose so, but I thought they'd go for the bigger aluminum box, to save on control boxes.
Here's an aluminum "full-height" control box on a T-128 posted on Brent's Siren Pages: http://ares.homeip.net/~bwillcox/sirens ... gymctl.jpg
