Re: 1993 ACA Sound Testing Photos

That Cyclone can be seen on Street View from 2007, or whatever remained of it.

Re: Does anybody have a susqhenanna power plant map?

I’ve been working on one for the past few months; currently just over half finished. I’ll share it eventually. To answer your question about the T-121 you found in Minersville, it is highly unlikely that siren is part of the Susquehanna system, as Minersville is well outside of the 10-mile planning...

Re: ACA Allertor 125 Questions

What happened to Cincinnati's old Allertor? I didn't know they had one? I know Batavia (Clermont county, a few miles from Cincinnati) has an Allertor that doesn't like to work, maybe they have it? There did used to be one in the Cincinnati suburb of Springdale, Ohio, but that one has been gone for ...

Not sure if this has already been mentioned, but the STL (or both of them) in Montpelier are also ex-Franklin County.

Re: Columbus, OH's Old CD/Tornado Siren System

Not even close. Columbus purchased nine gridfaced "Bumblebolts" in June of 1952, only one of which is known to still exist in private possession. I've no idea where you got this info from, but they were not purchased from the city of Cleveland. Interesting you mention this. Obviously the ...

Re: Columbus, OH's Old CD/Tornado Siren System

THe old sirens were scrapped or given to other Cities or Towns to be used. The Thunderbeam in Hebron is one or the old sirens from Columbus. I don't know when the county took over the sirens, and went to Whelen, but prior to that they were City and township owned. The reason for the removal of them...

1998 I believe to 2006 or whenever they quite making them, they were white
The last few years of production they were white. Prior to that I believe they came either in grey or CD yellow and in red & CD yellow prior to that.

Darley Model 3/5?, Alert, Clifton, OH (9/2/19)

Went out to Clifton to record their Darley (which is a hidden gem I found in July by accident while mapping Greene County, which is the county I live in). Not sure if this is a 3 or a "true 5" as the louvers look shorter on this one than on other Darley 5/7's I've seen in the wild. We got ...
