1. Think it was around 1970's, stopped by at least 1980. And not all 1000Ts from this time were 4-5, too. Only advantage is that it sounds different from the 5-6 ones.

4. Doubt it.

No one knows for sure about Sentry sirens built with dampers. I personally don't think so, but you could try asking them.

Iron Ridge Soundmaster (better quality now)

Recorded Iron Ridge's Soundmaster 115 again. I figured out how to set the camera to high-quality. Also used a tripod outside of the car for second test.

Looks more like a Banshee 115 or modified 2T22. Too bad no one got any close up photos of it.

Nice photo. Looks like the radio/control box was left open, though.

no one knows

Good idea. The only problem is everything I learn seems to be exposed as BS later on by others. I initially thought what I'd posted here was the truth.

Yes, and judging by the videos we have of SD-10s (and 5/7Ts as well), it seems to be correct.

And didn't Jeb explain this a while back in one of his videos? Except it involved an ACA Screamer/Howler and why it sounds higher pitched compared to the Federal types with 9-12 port.

The reason SD-10s have a deeper sound is because the 9 port section comes first. The 12 port section comes first on ACAs.
