One of my faves, too. I like how the 2T has an almost synthesized sound, sounding like sawtooth waves.

More of my faves:
The Pierce, NE xT22+ M-10
The bolts&m10.mp3 file that was posted a loooong time ago.
The ?Mooing? Thunderbolt clip (go outside, 'ya big chicken-s#%t!/I.. I AM outside!!)

MN Statewide Drill

It'll be tomorrow at 1:45. Another one will be at 6:55 PM. I'll be gone for the 1:45 one but I will have my Olympus DS-30 recording. I will be home for the 6:55 one. Also check out the nice T-Bolt pic on this page: http://www.severeweather.state.mn.us/

As I mentioned on the vid, this brings back memories. My aunt Marlene (who sadly passed on in '97, bless her soul  ) lived in the Millcreek Run townhouses, on Carriage Dr. I was there several times when the sirens sounded (for testing) and I could hear this one and the higher pitched 1000 heard...

I remember from one of the old Siren Recording Contests a recording of a Super Banshee being coded.

Re: He was the man!

-snip- He took a job with a company that made pinball machines, and helped develop the bumpers that push out the ball in an explosion of light, his son-in-law said. -snip- Ahh so that's who designed those bumpers! He will sorely be missed. A big loss for the warning systems industry as well as the ...

definately a T-bolt in one of the Indiana Jones movies, i think its the new one Correct. A very accurate recording of a 1000T to be exact. I've also seen many T-Bolts on tornado videos. The 1991 Topeka tornado had some 'Bolt footage, as well as the (in)famous McConnell AFB 2T22 clip. Also during th...

Monticello Nuclear Generating Plant, Monticello, MN: 58 active Sirens, tested weekly. Prairie Island Nuclear Power Plant, Welsch, MN: 28 active Sirens, tested weekly. All 28 are placed to cover the 10 mile radius around the plant. I know for a fact that the Prairie Island system has a yellow Modula...

Fort Dodge is all Whelen. (Was 1000T's)
St. Ansgar (I believe) has T-128s.
Shennandoah is a mix of a 1003 (which did Hi-Lo for fire calls, first time I've heard a T-Bolt to hi-low, now used only for weather), P10/P15 and Sterling (may be others)
