I'm surprised Austin/Mower county doesn't have records. After the sirens activate, the dispatcher pages the area FDs and says: [name of city] fire and first responders, this is your weekly test page and monthly civil defense test. Please acknowledge page and advise if your siren sounded. Actually, t...

I really like this vid!
Yes, the 408 is definitely a rarity.

I thought the 2001 was funny. It'd be funny to dub the sound of someone puking when the 2001 ?pukes? the snow out.

Nice. We always watched WREX's newscasts when we lived in Janesville, which had (have) the SoundMasters and now T-128s

?eThunderbolt - electronic unit that uses a combination of 64KHz 24bit samples and physical modeling, and of course voice. (The blower box would house the electronics and batteries, maybe even a speaker in it to simulate the blower unit's sound!)

The only one I know of that does a ramp-up is the Firex 5000 smoke detector. Some panels/NAs can be set so that the strobe flashes 2 or 3 times before the horn kicks in.

Mine would probably have to be one that has evidently been removed. It was of a T128 and a SpectrAlert fire alarm. That or the T-128 demo model at that trade show or whatever. Now, how about the audio? Mine is the boltsandm10.mp3. Had several 1003s (one with a broken solenoid) and an M10 all doing A...

I just heard about this too, I was listening to MNN news on KAUS, and they mentioned the sirens. I immediately came here, even though I knew I'd probably get beaten to the punch. Oh well. And no, it's not me. I'd never ever do that unless I had the permission from our EOC.
