I went to school there and in 3rd grade I had Mrs. Brown and her classroom was directly under the siren. There was a roof hatch in the coat closet. One day my father came to the class and had to get up in the hatch and on the roof to repair something. When he was done he blew the siren and came down...

I am almost certain that the test will be cancelled due to weather below freezing and just a few days ago we had precipitation and it has not gone above freezing since then. No it will go off as planned. The only reason to cancel is when it rains and the test day it is way below freezing or if it snows melts then freezes on test day. We don't want the rotation assembly to freeze and not rotate, therefore putting stress on one point of the slip rings

The siren at New Richmond on the Fire Department is a Q-BSA. Just spoke to Greg Alcorn at Federal. Brushes are unavailable from Federal so I have to scout some out.

As many of you know I had a guy work with me sometimes on the sirens in Hamilton County and his name was Tom Gall. He was in a car accident on Friday and did not make it out alive. So keep his family in your prayers.

Todays siren test is canceled and rescheduled for next wednesday. Please pass this info around
