This is so sad...

Yes, sirens have been around much longer than cell phones and text messaging. And the 2001 is still made, but it's also the most popular siren in the world. In addition, Texas lies on the southern boundary of "Tornado Alley," so that's why it's sad and stupid to see the sirens come down. :(

In the case of production, the 500AT & 550AT were made from the mid-1950's, and discontinued in the early 1980's.

As with coverage, they produced 120-125 dB, and covered around 1/2 to 3/4 miles.

Finally, the port ratios were 8 & 12 for single tone, and 8/12, 9/12, & 10/12.

Yes, the rotating version of the OM-120 was none other than the RM-127, which use both the same rotor & motor.

That's right, it's a Mars siren, since it's a 4-letter M word, and the last 2 letters looked like an "R" and an "S".
