2-9-22 Shawdee Road 2001-130 Siren Short Alert + Silent Test, Huntsville, AL

g7dvu8SrhX8 Went out today for Madison County's siren test, and decided to go for this siren up on Green Mountain, as it's one of only a five or so known 2001-130s in the county. This one is also one of the newer 2001s in the county, having been installed sometime between 2013 and 2016 to replace a...

Re: 1-5-22 Moore's Mill Volunteer Fire Department 2001-SRNB Siren Short Alert Test, Moore's Mill, AL

I wonder how is it possible that they would install a 130 then later a SRNB. If there was no siren there in 2007, and the SRNB was discontinued in 2006, then it would’ve had to have been a 130 if the siren was brand new. Perhaps it was an older siren from 2006 or earlier they put there? It could be...

1-5-22 Moore's Mill Volunteer Fire Department 2001-SRNB Siren Short Alert Test, Moore's Mill, AL

ERtYsSjSDsc Today, I went up to Moore's Mill to record the siren at the fire department there for Madison County's monthly test. I'd originally thought this was a 2001-130 (as the 2007 street view imagery here doesn't show a siren), but it turns out this is actually a 2001-SRNB, likely one of the l...

2pP_ZKvPhTM After successfully getting the Thunderbolt in Hoover, I decided to head-up to Blount County for their test. Would've tried for Madison County this month, but as it would've been close to two hours of driving to get back to Madison County from the Thunderbolt I was at, I figured it would...

12-1-21 Federal Signal Thunderbolt 1000T Siren Short Alert Test, Hoover, AL

mGjbUyC2nhk Decided to head out this morning and film a couple of siren tests, as it was the first Wednesday of the month. Went down to this Thunderbolt in Hoover, AL, for Jefferson County's siren test, and, as you can see, it went quite well. The test was Jefferson County's typical short-alert tes...

QCUhSrCVSZo As Madison County's test was not done last week due to the weather, I went out today to get it instead. This actually would've been my third test of the week had Etowah County not cancelled yesterday. Decided to go for this 2001-130 on Palmer Road, as I hadn't recorded a close-up of one...

1Aj8LUxMqUM Went out this morning to see about getting a recording of Limestone County's siren test. Decided to go after the 508 on Roy Long Road in Athens, located near the CSX line, as I thought it'd be a neat one to record. While it was sounding a lady driving by was curious as to what was going...

ej4r4T56krI Decided to go back here today for this month's test, as I wanted to get a better video of this siren given how wendy it was when I last recorded it. Met-up with MadisonCountySirensYT again, which was fun. Nothing really too much else to say here, just your typical Madison County test. M...

7fl0uT2sG9I Had to go out and get my car washed today, so I decided to swing by a siren to get a recording of today's test. Was thinking of going for one of the Model 2s in the system, but woke-up rather late, so I just raced out to this guy instead. Turns out he has a broken rotator (and admittedl...

8-10-20 Whelen 2809 Siren Alert + Voice (x2) Test, Decatur, AL

jG_XFgK7po8 Got on up and went on out this morning to Decatur to record the TVA/Morgan County/Limestone County siren test today, as a few other enthusiasts in the area were heading over there to record the same test. However, while they all went to a 508 near the Decatur High School, I decided to h...
