Re: Post the most epic sirens picture(s) you have!

Alright, here's a handful I have done; This was taken about 7 years ago. I accidentally deleted the original photo so I had a video or something at the time that I tried snipping the photo off of. https://scontent-ort2-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/154633_171328112897888_1107747_n.jpg?oh=472c0d5dc139c90b4...

Re: Black Mesa (Half-Life) siren

Meant to point this out myself here on the forums, looks like someone else beat me to it lol
I was fairly surprised they decided to go to that length for a warning siren in a game. I think they used a 2001 recording of sorts since I can tell the siren is rotating in the audio.

Re: Fake video list

Heh, just happened to check in here and noticed the post about me. The video is already removed anyways, lol. I understand someone took (insert whoever here, or myself)'s video, but that doesn't mean to turn absolutely evil. Honestly I kind of feel a combination of flattered and insulted because som...

Re: Does Ohio have any Allertors?

If I remember correctly, Dayton used to have a bunch of Allertors, and Screamers a little whie ago. I even saw a Craigslist post for them too, and there were about 2-3 sirens there, one being an Allertor and the others being Screamers. (They were either screamers or Banshees, what they were exactly ...

Re: How many counties still use thunderbolts?

I know in Atkins, AR, about 10 minutes east of me, they have 4 1000's that I know of currently. Supposedly there are 2 more but I haven't found them yet. I know they are on their way out to be replaced by more sirens, but they haven't disappeared yet so I don't know what's going on with them. I thin...

Re: A potential new siren from ASC

I think ASC will do a driver removal method kind of similar to Whelen's method. They will have a little area that is connected to the driver and is removable, but instead of one location, it can be one on all 4 sides of the cell. I don't think it would be on the bad part of legal grounds, but I don'...

Re: 5/6 port Model 2T's?

I think there was a video circulating somewhere on one of the bigger pages (maybe Ian, if I remember correctly) that slapped a 5/6 chopper into a single tone 2, and both tones worked, but the 5 ports were obviously louder than the 6 because of the stator. I don't know if FS officially made 5/6 port ...

Re: Can Someone Decipher These Sirens? (Russellville, AR)

Russellville, and Dardanelle both are using a mixture of ATI's and Whelen 2900 series sirens. They run in 445Hz, 465Hz and 560Hz (or whatever the Hz ratings run in). I have heard 1 ATI, and it was by Stoby's in Russellville, and it ran in 465Hz. It had a wind up, but it cut off on the wind down. (So...
