I always liked the Eclipse8's for some reason. Made a model of them recently.

... hey, wait, does anyone else see the resemblance to those old Toshiba SONGS sirens?

Yep that's the one! I stood there. lol By the way, the horn is pointed in a different direction when I took pics of it. So it has DEFINITELY went off before. It is Mary Walker Towers. I checked that out a few years ago when in Chattanooga. I first saw that Tbolt back countless times between 1971-89...

I've seen other claims that Federal tested sirens in Europe, but is there any evidence that Federal sirens actually went there? The British and French had their own siren manufacturers and we certainly would not have sold them to Germany. Doubt it. Federal does sell sirens and equipment around the ...

Neither have I. Probably either an aftermarket tone module or a very, very new model.

Definitely sounds underpowered. Could it be a bad voltage? Maybe it's rated for 240, but running at 120.

And why is everyone making post anniversaries?!? Who was it, Justin that made 500th post a few days ago?

Definitely EOWS of some kind. Compare it side-by-side with another EOWS clip on YouTube. (Google is your friend.)

Federal signal products are much too high pitched (around the same as ATI) for long range warning but the 2001 series would still be more penetrating and attention getting in the city than the ATI's are. Federal at least has a windup and winddown on most of their tones. It's like ATI isn't even try...

I'd say ASC pwns the siren market for now. These people need to consider getting some nice T-128s' for the community. :D No, take a quick refresher course in... business... and... um... money... to figure out that just because you have the highest-quality product doesn't mean that you're going to h...

Federal just doesn't make their sirens like they used to. They sure don't. It's a shame, too, because they have the best reputation but sell moderate sirens at high prices, as compared to ATI who sells very cheap sirens at low prices. As much as I hate to say it, Whelen's probably going to win the ...

I'm amazed that no cops came by. That was a 10 second blast. I doubt anyone actually cared, since it was only a 10 second blast. Plus, how could they locate it? It was in a boat, not in the middle of the street. And the cops probably didn't give a crap even if someone did call. It's when you're pla...
