Alright. I left my scanner on all night and at 4:00 A.M. I awoke to some strange noises. If I recall correctly, the first noises were what sounded like digital bursts, similar to packets. Then I heard what sounded exactly like a Motorola radio doing a quick call operation, but twice in a row. The si...

That is pretty much what I gathered after an hour of research. I also converted the emission types. They are 11.3 KHz FM Data...11.3 KHz FM Voice...20 KHz FM Voice.

I'm looking at the frequencies issued for KQH735 and I think I've come up with a conclusion. All the 15 watt frequencies are the sirens. The 100 watt frequencies are the activation radios. There are 8 100 watt stations. Does that conclusion make sense to you guys? If it does, I guess I'll have to li...

Ron,

That helps a lot. I narrowed it down to a few frequencies. I'll have to keep studying licenses to see if any of them make sense.

Thanks.

I've been using radio reference for a few years now and especially last year for the frequency. Nothing. :(

Need Help Finding Activation Frequency

This Thursday, the TMI sirens will be tested. For the past year, I've been looking for the frequency of activation to monitor with my scanner to get an advanced warning for when they start the test. They do a radio test every Thursday morning and a growl the first Thursday of the month. They only do...

Well I thought that Strinestown was in Lancaster lol but it isn't.

It's too bad you'll miss this test again. This might just be the last one before the T-128's roll in.

Underpowered Cyclone and VERY Shrill 2001 (from TMI system)

This is a cyclone in the TMI system (TMI-102) at the Londonderry Twp. FD near Middletown, Pa about 1 mile from TMI. This is a second video of the same cyclone activating for an actual fire call in a user generated attack mode. The fire company was allowed to install a pager that would allow the sire...

TMI Sirens to be Tested!

As always, the three mile island system in Central PA will be tested June 24th, 2010 (Thursday) at 12:15 p.m. It's always been the last Thursday of June. They only do one full test a year. The system contains 96 sirens. Mostly Cyclones and P-10's (both dual toned) and a handful of 2001's. There is o...
