Federal 62S Timer Information

Hello Folks, I am finishing up a station alerting install this week for a local station. The last part of the system is to remove the old Federal timer and tie the siren contactor into the new logic controller that runs the entire system. Not generally a big deal, but I am looking for some info on t...

Re: Federal STH10A Troubleshooting Questions

Ah ok. Contact Rheems1 here on the board. He can probably help you find another siren. Sorry to bring this back up... I have had no luck getting this shaft removed. I made an attempt to contact Rheems1 but my PM'a don't seem to be going through. Hoping that the user see's this and contacts me. Than...

Re: Federal STH10A Troubleshooting Questions

Good call on the steering wheel puller. I need to see if I can find one. The key is badly rusted on the shaft. I did actually try heating the chopper but not the shaft itself . I may have to give that a try also. If I end up looking for a new or used motor or used sth10, any idea how much I'd be loo...

Re: Federal STH10A Troubleshooting Questions

Understood.... it is a 3 phase siren. A local fire company may have a spare motor and I'm waiting to a hear back from them. I'm hoping I can get the chopper off without damaging anything. The motor is in very bad shape. A new motor might be the easiest route. Some damage was done to the bearing ring...
