Re: Schaumburg ACA P-50 Came Down Today…

You'd need a genset the size of a car to run one of these. They pull 900 amps at startup on 208 volt 3 phase. On 240 3 phase, it's around 500 amps on startup. On 480 3 phase, it's much less at 200 amps to start the siren. That 50 hp motor is a pig and requires so much energy to start. Good to know!...

I for some reason can't see the images. You may have to upload the images to the post, so they are more likely to be seen!
Shows fine for me
I'm seeing nothing. :|

Re: Veetronix Siren Controller

Thanks, exactly what I needed. Now I just need to find an old enough computer to setup on. Only one I have with a serial port is an old laptop that doesn't seem to have enough space to install the Microchip software. Anyway around that or possible to use a USB to serial adapter? I've tried a USB to...

Re: 1986 ACA Alertronic 6000R

Got some more things done! Recently got the parts needed to convert a CD&F to house a Federal Signal FC, as well as a Baofeng UV5R for a receiver unit, and a 120VAC to 5VDC power supply to run said UV5R. There was quite a bit of waiting involved in getting the parts needed for the whole conversi...

Re: Bradshaw, NE's 2001

I contacted the city of Grand Island and now waiting for a response. I'll check back when I have a response. I'm quoting my own thing, but Grand Island said that they only have one siren at the airport. In other words, they didn't even know they had a Fedelcode lol  The city/county doesn't own...

Re: How to remove a siren

I don't think my other post went through, but I'm planning on removing a FEDELCODE near me and I don't know how to do it without a crane. If you guys have an idea as to how, please say because this will be my first big siren. What model of Fedelcode and how's it mounted? If it's a Model 2, chances ...

Re: Veetronix Siren Controller

I have an older veetronix siren controller box that I'm trying to reprogram the tones/timers for the relay board. I have the veetronix software but not the cable. This one doesn't have the usb port on the board, just a 4 pin connector. Does anyone know the pinout for this connector? Thanks!! Yessir...

Re: 1986 ACA Alertronic 6000R

You're chugging right along and it's looking great! You also have some good scrapyards! Slowly but surely getting there! Still waiting on a few key components for the board to make it work, but that should all be here sometime soon. Just got drivers purchases today, hopefully those will come in ear...

Re: 1986 ACA Alertronic 6000R

Here's what I have so far on the control panel. I picked up a CD&F from a scrap yard and mounted it in the free space on the backboard; it'll house an FC and a UV5R will act as the radio receiver. Still awaiting parts to finish that up. I'm also still awaiting the controller bracket, which will ...

Re: 1986 ACA Alertronic 6000R

Today I got the last few metal parts of the head primed and painted, and began the process of reassembling it on the test stand from the base and up. I got the new bearings installed, as well as new hardware too. Same goes for the new relay sockets; new stainless steel screws hold them and the delay...
