Thunderbolt Electrical Question

It's been a while since I've been here, but I need some advice in wiring up my Thunderbolt 1000t. It currently runs on single phase 110v DC power, modified for a plug-and-play setup using standard household plugs. I want to convert my siren to 240 Volts to increase the sound pitch, so I invested in ...

Re: Bay City EOWS 812s

Electronic siren's aren't hard to refurbish. mine was face down without any back walls for almost 10 years and I Restored it in about 4 months. I made a video of the restoration a few weeks ago too- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y1PkUBXGOjE&t=86s Really electronic sirens depend on the conditio...

Re: Bay City EOWS 812s

Well the third one took me by surprise! I'm having second thoughts about contacting the city now. I still would like to acquire one of these, but perhaps worrying about that should wait for another time.

Re: Bay City EOWS 812s

Yeah there still there. But if I were to choose one ,Id choose the one that has its Siratone still mounted on the pole. The one that has the the SRNB next to it has its Siratone long gone. I also hate to go off topic for a sec but the siren you see in my avatar was made by SoCal Edison electricity ...

Re: Bay City EOWS 812s

you can go to the city and ask but you will have to pay for it. and you will need a place to keep it. but there are also ones a WSS. Contacting the city was my first thought. I visited WSS a few weeks ago and they had just scrapped their 812s and some of their 612s. I have good connections with WSS...

Bay City EOWS 812s

I made a post about this before but I'd rather start a new topic rather than bump an old topic. I was told that there are 2 EOWS 812s remaining in Bay City, possibly even the country. This has been bothering me lately, especially ever since my favorite siren a few miles away just got removed and scr...

Re: How does this work? -Thunderbolt chopper levels

How do I wire the Agastat? It would probably be easier for you to look at the RCM1B schematic in the manual and figure it out. It will also help clear up any confusion you have about it. You'll find it on page 41 in the PDF file. *Note that because your unit lacks test switches, you can completely ...

Re: How does this work? -Thunderbolt chopper levels

For one thing, your RCM was modified to allow 2-way communication for an FC controller. Those blue boxes in the bottom of your controller are current relays. Basically when they detect a certain amount of current, they engage. The FC takes that and can tell if the siren functioned properly or not a...
