Yes, Portland had 7 chryslers, all which were removed in the 1960s after portland discontinued civil defense.

Amazing information Evan! About 6 months ago during one of my visits to the Northacres Park/Haller Lake Chrysler, I got a photo of its control box, which had some sort of little controller in it. I have the photos saved somewhere, they're from my old camera however, so It'll be hard to dig them out...

You likely do have 220v to your house. I'd be extremely surprised if you didn't, especially because its necessary for electric stoves/ovens/clothes dryers and a few other appliances.

The low voltage cutoff is only a feature of the newer units. You can also find examples of ASC electronic sirens exhibiting sputtering with no cut-off as ASC sirens still, to my understanding, do not have a low voltage cut off feature (example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KWO6LjtyoH4).
