Re: Nebraska Statewide Map

The 2001-SRN at 30th Ave and Hwy 30 in Kearney within the last couple of days was relocated to the northeast side of the intersection. For anyone mapping that's interested. I was pretty surprised to see that one moved. The pole had been listing really heavily for so long too haha. I think they move...

Re: Nebraska Statewide Map

The Thunderbolt 1003 in Burwell has been seemingly replaced with a 2001-130. My contact there at the city says the Thunderbolt is being refurbished, potentially to be relocated elsewhere in town or to be put on display(?). Also, from the same contact at the city, the Model 5 has been replaced with t...

Re: Nebraska Statewide Map

The Thunderbolt in Arnold has been moved to the new fire department, about a block south and on the east side of Highway NE61. No idea how long ago that happened, but I was through there two weeks ago and it wasn't where I expected it to be when I looked. Maybe it got moved a long time ago and I jus...

Re: Nebraska Statewide Map

I would like to add if this is of any importance, that the thunderbolts in Arthur and Laurel are both ex-Washington, DC sirens as indicated by the RCM in the back of the blower, which as far as anyone can infer was a DC only thing. Huh, that's pretty cool! Maybe next time I update the map I'll tack...

Very low M-10 in Moorefield NE. I've seen this thing up close, presumed inactive.

Re: “Twin” Siren Setups

Sargent, NE has two Model 5s on the same water tower. Both are now inactive, replaced by two 2001-130s in town. https://www.google.com/maps/@41.6412908,-99.3698191,3a,15y,284.14h,105.99t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1s9oHoGBDZgQnz_OJpTbxvFg!2e0!7i13312!8i6656 Also, Burwell, NE has a Model 5 and 1003 on the sam...

Re: Nebraska Statewide Map

Overton NE's XT22 has been recently replaced. 2001-130 went in. Buffalo and hall counties are Nebraska's "Older Federal Land" but many of the XT22s and 'Bolts have been replaced over the last decade.

Re: Nebraska Statewide Map

Lyman has a mystery siren on the water tower that's hard to make out on street view.
I will see about a field visit to Lyman.

Re: Nebraska Statewide Map

Are there any particular sirens/locations that require field visits? I will be in the Scottsbluff area soon, and could easily do a few field visits in the panhandle of the state.
