Re: Whelen WPS-2907 controller

A Whelen controller would be harsh on the Federal Signal drivers, they aren't made for that. However, it *has, been done. If you really wanted to go at it(which I just wouldn't recommend), you'd have to wire 4 100W FS drivers in parallel to the output to one of the Whelen controller's 400W amps.

Re: Siren Manuals

Still searching for a manual for this version of ATI controllers/sirens with this controller. So far I've only come up with a manual for the newer version. ATI has been less then helpful.

Whelen WPS-2805, alert + live voice - Will Rogers World Airport 1/25/20

Finally got to record one of the Whelens at Will Rogers World Airport, probably part of the FAA series of buildings on the east side of the airport(where all the Whelens are). I was shocked when it suddenly cut to live voice, was I was really only expecting it to do alert. Video was shaky because of...

In addition to Andy's post, I also have two ATI controllers that came from Baytown's old system.

Re: San Francisco ATI system being silenced; possibly replaced

Honestly, two years to replace the WHOLE system doesn't sound too crazy, however, if I were them, I would replace them in zones so that there are at least a few sirens active in case something goes awry. I expect some kind of San Andreas thing to happen, this time, no siren warnings. Shutting off t...

I found it definitely not an STL-10.
If that is the siren sounding, which I bet it is, that is absolutely amazing. Like Tristan suggested, appears to be a Bullard. The first recording of a Bullard, other than the news clip featuring the high pitch rotating one going off.
