Sirens on Railroad Bridges?

I know there has been a topic on here about sirens in rail yards but what about on railroad bridges? I have a link to a video made by the Penn Central Railroad company and at 23:28 you can see what appears to be a Federalcode Model 2. Was this a regular things in the 70s and can you provide any more...

If there was a Tornado/Hurricane/Air Raid/Etc. on the way, right outside my hotel room window is exactly where I want that siren.

In Hastings, PA there is an STH-10 mounted no more than 20 ft. From someone's home. Of course that person lives next to the fire station, but I don't know which came first.

There's 2 EOWS-612s at a rail yard in Maryland by the Conewingo Dam that alert of the dam being opened.

I was recently made aware that Hastings PA had an old siren mounted at or on top of their Fire Club.
