Re: Post your Mystery Sirens here.

Poking around Indiana on Google Maps tonight and found this thing in New Marion (about an hour west of Cincinnati and an hour north of Louisville): https://goo.gl/maps/bqpPGR8d8kcq8EAz5

Re: Cincinnati Metropolitan Area Sirens

Found another STH-10 today on the way to Land of Illusion Adventure Park up in Butler County. There's an STH-10 at the Madison Township fire station in Poast Town, on Route 4 near Franklin-Trenton Road. I think it's still active as there's a siren shown in that general area on the location map avail...

Re: Cincinnati Metropolitan Area Sirens

Found an STH-10 in Burlington earlier. Am I correct in assuming it's inactive? It's on Washington Street behind the Baptist church

Vacation

It's that time of year again... A week from tomorrow I'll be heading out on vacation, mostly to enjoy the Carowinds and Kings Dominion amusement parks (and possibly Busch Gardens Williamsburg as well). I'll be traveling from Cincinnati to Charlotte first, and from there to Virginia, before returning...

Re: Cincinnati Metropolitan Area Sirens

I got blasted by the 2001 at Kellogg and Sutton on Wednesday. I was out at Coney Island enjoying the pool at the time.

Re: Sirens right next to interstate highways

A couple in the Cincinnati area:
MOD 2008 right next to the ramp from KY-8 Business (Dave Cowens Drive) to I-471 North in Newport, Kentucky
2001 next to the ramp from Dixie Highway to I-275 West in Crestview Hills, Kentucky (siren is actually on Summer Lane but is visible from the entrance ramp)

Re: Cincinnati Metropolitan Area Sirens

My mom reportedly heard sirens at our house in Northside (closest sirens being the ones near Hamilton and Blue Rock and Hamilton and Ashtree and possibly the one in Spring Grove Village), but I didn't hear anything. My weather radio woke me up though. My sister heard the sirens in Erlanger as well (...

Re: Cincinnati Metropolitan Area Sirens

I was down in Northern Kentucky when the warnings were issued. I got notifications on my phone (both an emergency alert and from various weather apps) about both the one for Boone County and the one for Kenton. Also heard the 2001 right by Crestview Hills Town Center sound shortly after the Kenton C...

Re: Cincinnati Metropolitan Area Sirens

My sister and I took an impromptu trip out to the lake at East Fork State Park for a bit this afternoon. I saw 5 new sirens (new to me anyway) along the route: A silver/gray TBolt right off 125 just east of I-275 A P-10/P-15 right off 125 A yellow Model 5 on the Union Township fire station in Witham...

Re: Cincinnati Metropolitan Area Sirens

I don't believe that one has a replacement. The T-128 at Mt. Echo Park should be close enough to cover that area. The one on Delhi near Roebling is only a mile away as well, so I'm guessing there's good coverage there between the two of them. Good news! Everything was approved today and the Thunder...
