Re: Greenville, TX Revisit/Pics

Whether or not it is still up, here's another Penetrator on the south side. The Maps imagery is from 2007, but satellite view shows that it's still up.

EDIT: Found another one near the center of the city.

Actually, that was already posted a few pages back.
Yes, I actually was the first one to post that here. It's fine though. :)
Nope, that was me. https://airraidsirens.com/forums/viewto ... 47#p102047

After looking on Google Maps Street View, I can confirm that you are correct. That was the Thunderbolt I saw a while back. I wasn't aware that it was blown down. My assumption was that they installed something to replace it. Today, I drove by the 2001-130 near Wolf Branch in Swansea, IL. When I reco...

St. Louis metro area is what we are talking about, I suppose. Albers is close enough to it. I forgot that you mentioned that fact, though. Shiloh is nothing but 2001s now, but they work. Getting an ambiance recording of Mascoutah's system would be neat. From what I've seen in person, they have two x...

I assume it's their city hall, but knowing that area, I refuse to try to record something there. Regardless of what the crime data reports about Fairmont City, I don't trust the city. Lebanon's 1003 is located on top of their fire department building. SIUE's is located at the Heating and Refrigerati...

When my brother and his ex still lived in St. Peters, I would go there at least once a month. There used to be one on Jungermann and Willot Road. A 2001-130 sits near its place. Also, driving along I-70, I saw one somewhere along the route. It's been years since I've seen it, so I couldn't tell you ...

The ones I know about are:

N Smiley St and E Wesley Dr
O'Fallon High School
Hartman Lane and Delmar Ave (the one I just recorded)

All three still stand with the 45 degree view in Google Maps, which was updated sometime on or before August 2011.

Not a problem. I just wonder what sirens O'Fallon will purchase when the Thunderbolts croak. The majority of the siren system are AL-8000s, but there is a 2001 in the mix that is also on Youtube, located in the link below.

Yeah, I got that one. It's outside of the O'Fallon 15. Sounds healthy, but it rotates at approximately 1 RPM.

Ah yes, I forgot that the OA series existed. When I was recording the Thunderbolt, I heard the nearby Whelens sound off in Attack. During a tornado warning a year ago, they were activated in Wail. The phone's camera failed during recording for some reason, so I was unable to record that ambiance.
