Re: Every 2001-DC Map (WIP)

The 2001 in Wauneta Nebraska was directly replaced by a Sentry 3v8-h-b for some reason. Im not sure if it was relocated. Benkelman Nebraskas 2001 is a DC if I remember correctly.

Btw, this siren was replaced by a Sentry 7v8-H-B. How did they get the money for one of those??????? :?
Broadwater and Sunol Nebraska have 7v8-H-Bs as well, it could've been a regional EM thing. If that's the case, im surprised they arent Whelens!

Re: Building a custom mechanical siren controller?

If you're comfortable enough to do so, or can enlist the help of someone who is, you can make an attack cycle with these relays and make whatever timings your heart desires. You will also need 8 pin bases and a push button to engage the relays.

Re: How do some enthusiasts buy/get sirens?

If you're lucky enough, on a road trip you might pass a downed siren with its replacement installed next to it. Have cash, be punctual, and hope you get in contact with the right people!

Looks sorta like a Fedelcode Model 2 that's covered in snow.
The quality of the photo doesnt help, but mentioning the snow could be what was messing with me, making the shroud look off. Maybe next summer a road trip is in order!

Big Elk Meadows VFD

While looking at fire trucks on Marketplace, I spotted this. I'm not sure if it's a rarer siren or a something else. Big Elk Meadows is southeast of Estes Park, Colorado.

Full shot of Fire Truck attached as well.

Re: My siren maps

Here's some help for some of your Kansas mystery sirens. Rexford - Thunderbeam Axtell - Model 5. Peep the facebook page mentioned below, and a different photo of the water shows what appears to be another siren on the tower, based on a power line running to it. I cant make it out though. The last ph...

Silt Colorado.
Darley Model 2?
I'm not too hip on Darley identification, but the Colorado map has it identified as a Champion.
