Federal signal 3T22A sounding for the Minnesota STD

Pulled out my 3T22A for the Minnesota Statewide Tornado Drill yesterday. Ran full 3 minute tests of Attack and Fire. Towards the end you can hear other sirens running from nearby towns. Wind was a problem, but theres not much I could do about it.

An electronics repair shop would be a good place to take it.

Re: The Bemidji, MN System

We used to go and stay at a resort up there until a couple years ago. The 612 by the airport was still there. I also seen a couple 2001s on the way through town.

3T22A Full Test

Finally found some time earlier this evening to make another video of my 3T22 running Alert, Fire, and Attack. This time controlled solely from one of my AF Timers.

Re: Touring A Red Arrow Siren.

Yes - Mr. Decot ensured that every customer was happy with their Red Arrow siren, no "defective" sirens were to be sold. He also had a testing chamber pit beneath his machine works where he tested each siren to ensure it didn't explode when operated. You bet they did! My friend Bill Nagle...

Re: Scottsbluff, Nebraska Thunderbolt siren replacement proposal.

I found out that the only way you can talk a city out of replacing sirens is to be best friends with the city administrator. I would try that and write a letter to them clearly explaining why they should rethink their decision. But be civil about it, and write it like you would if the whole world we...

Re: The Rather Extensive Modern Sentry Lineup

In my opinion, for those locations that literally see a couple tornado warnings a year or less, it makes no sense to have battery backup. Just more things to go wrong, and I've seen it myself what happens when chargers go out, or batteries go bad. I think keeping the 3-phase sirens where 3-phase is ...
