Is this map is still there?
Hi Jaiden,

I do have the map on me still, albeit a fraction of what it used to be ten years ago. Send me a PM and I can link it to you.

Re: Modulator Chime & Voice Ambiance

Do they test the wail signal at all anymore, or has it been replaced fully by the chime/voice combo? And are there any non-Modulator sirens on the system anymore? No, they plan on using the wail signal solely for emergencies. There still is one more non-Modulator siren which is located at the Washi...

Modulator Chime & Voice Ambiance

Hey all! Long time no see! In August of 2020, Pierce County, WA replaced their 2001-130s with Modulator 8032-Bs and transitioned from a wail signal to a chime+voice combo each month. The sirens do 3x chimes and 2x voice in English and Spanish. Surprisingly, due to snow being on the ground along with...

Re: How do I get my siren map on Google search?

Keywords also help too. I've found a few maps by typing "Google Maps" in the search along with the name of the map. I've had no problem finding smaller maps with less traffic.

Re: Pierce County at it again...

Bumpity bump bump. I visually confirmed a few days ago that South Prairie, Wilkeson, and Carbonado all have new 8032-Bs installed at their fire stations. South Prairie's Model 7 and Carbonado's Model 2 are still mounted on top of the buildings. I'll get pictures when I have the chance to make it dow...

Re: Pierce County at it again...

Do you happen to know where the 130s went?
No idea. Half the poles are still standing cause they chopped off the siren heads along with some of the pole, so they’re probably laying in a landfill by now.

Pierce County at it again...

Long time no see folks. Pierce County has once again done it. As part of a system upgrade, they began adding in new sirens (Modulator IIs) in vulnerable areas across the county that were not previously covered. None of these new locations are in the Puyallup River valley. However, what I didn’t know...

Pierce County changing things up

Looks like my area will be adding more sirens and switching to voice announcements for tests. Upgrades start tomorrow and will continue through March before the testing procedure changes in April: https://www.facebook.com/CentralPierce/ ... 61/?type=3

Hmm... did they finally get to the bottom of what was happening with the fedelcode? Bad bearings right?
Negative on that one. It hasn't been touched in years as far as I know.
